All IBCs, counting from the date of the first (factory) test, must undergo repeat tests every 2 ½ years, namely:
Inspection after 2½ years
By a level II inspection body registered with the BAM, pursuant to BAM-GGR 002 – Part B, Paragraphs B 1.2.1, B 2.1 and B 3.1
- Inspection of the external condition
- Inspection of the identification marking
- Test of the function of the operating equipment, i.e. all fittings belonging to the container
- Leak test using air at 0.2 bar excess pressure
Inspection after 5 years
By a level I inspection body registered with the BAM, pursuant to BAM-GGR 002 – Part A, Paragraphs A 1.2.1, A 2.1 and A 3.1
- In addition to the scope of the inspection after 2 ½ years, the following shall be carried out:
- Checking concordance with the model type
- Internal inspection
Any repair work arising and assembly materials needed are charged based on time and cost. On request we will prepare a cost estimate for you beforehand.
